You will be creating an original travel brochure for your adopted state. Using Microsoft Word you will create a brochure which will include:

Cover

• Name of state
• Illustration and eye-catching design
• Picture showing the shape of the state
• Date and order of admission (March 3, 1845 and 27th state)
• Your name

Geography – Page 1

• Where is the state located?
• Map of U.S. (include a small map).
• Pictures of at least two major geographical features found in your state.
• With descriptive captions.

State Information (Center of Brochure) – Page 2

• State flower
• State capital 
  Population
• Flag
• Nickname (if any)
• State song
• State bird
• Picture of state seal
• All pictures need to be properly labeled

Recreation/Attractions – Page 3

• What type of recreational facilities does your state have?
• What do people do when they are on vacation in your state?
• Must write in complete sentences
• Convince your reader to visit your state!
• Pictures to illustrate places described with caption included.

Interesting Facts – Page  4

• Bulleted list of at least five interesting facts about the state (for example, famous historical figures or facts, unique landmarks, etc.)
• Must include at least two pictures with captions

Address Label – Page 5

• Sender’s address is your state’s Office of Tourism Recipient is your full name and address
• Create an original state stamp
